Amoni is a holiday settlement 23 km away from the Ιsthmus of Corinthia. It was founded by bank employees in 1971 and it includes 500 houses where 50 out of 500 still belong to the families of the founders while less than 30 houses have permanent residents.
It is separated in two sections-two gulfs between 3 hills. The first one called ‘Big Amoni’ and the second one ‘Small Amoni’. It belongs to the area of ‘Pefkali’, a name which was proposed, voted and prevailed by the founders of the settlement in the 1970s, and to the county of Corinthia. Before the application of the Callikratis program it used to belong to the county of Soligia.














































Rural dwelling in peninsulas


Amoni transforms into an agritourism destination. The main idea aims the exploitation of local resources and the tourism development of the area, affecting the smallest possible footprint in nature. Specifically, the activities are collected in the 3 peninsulas. Except of the resin cultivation that is scattered in the natural pinewood, of the surrounded mountain area.
At the first peninsula ,3 subculture construction of dwellings are installed. Each residential unit is separated by internal corridors from its neighboring, creating view points to Amoni. The 3 constructions are connected by a platform - underground corridor.
The second peninsular is developed by a parallel cultivation system. This are mainly consisted by dry - aromatic plants, that are under the responsibility of the cooperatively coexistence of the residents. Furthermore, voids within this system, create a subculture square and host public facilities, such as local production stores and educational halls that inform about the cultivations.
At the 3rd peninsular a port is designed to host ships that. While there is a special ship rests at the port, it functions as a marketplace of the local products, both for Amoni and Athens ports.
